RESERVATION TERMS & PAYMENT POLICY

To confirm a reservation with JM Fishing Lodge, guests are required to submit a deposit equal to 50% of the total trip cost. Depending on the selected package or service, the required deposit amount may vary. Receipt of the deposit secures your requested dates and reserves accommodations, vessels, transportation, and other related services.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the scheduled arrival date. Guests who fail to arrive at the designated meeting location at the agreed time may forfeit their reservation without refund eligibility.

While refunds may not be available in certain situations, JM Fishing Lodge will make every reasonable effort to assist with schedule adjustments, delays, or other travel-related changes whenever possible. Our priority is to help ensure that your trip can proceed successfully and be enjoyed as planned.

ACCEPTED METHODS OF PAYMENT

Deposits and trip payments may be made by bank transfer, check, major credit card, or PayPal. Please note that any transaction or processing fees charged by credit card companies, payment processors, or PayPal are the responsibility of the guest and will be added to the payment amount where applicable.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Once a reservation has been confirmed, JM Fishing Lodge immediately begins arranging accommodations, logistics, staffing, permits, and other trip-related preparations. Because expenses are incurred in advance, the following cancellation terms apply:

Guest-Initiated Cancellations

• Cancellations made more than 60 days before the scheduled departure date are eligible for a full refund of the deposit, less applicable taxes and a $150 administrative/processing fee.

• Cancellations made within 60 days of departure are not eligible for a deposit refund; however, guests may have the opportunity to reschedule their trip for a future available date.

Lodge-Initiated Cancellations

In rare circumstances, trips or services may be delayed, postponed, or canceled due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, equipment failures, safety concerns, or decisions made by the vessel captain.

If such a situation occurs, JM Fishing Lodge will make every effort to notify affected guests promptly and explain available options. Depending on the circumstances, guests may be offered a refund, a credit toward a future trip, or an opportunity to reschedule for another available date.

FUEL SURCHARGE POLICY

Due to fluctuations in global fuel prices, JM Fishing Lodge reserves the right to apply a fuel surcharge when operating costs exceed normal pricing assumptions.

Package rates are generally calculated using a fuel cost benchmark of up to $4.00 per gallon. If actual fuel prices rise significantly above this level, an additional fuel surcharge may be necessary.

Should a surcharge be required, guests will be notified of the final amount no later than one week before their scheduled arrival date. Our goal is to maintain competitive package pricing while addressing substantial increases in fuel expenses.

Special Service: We'll fillet and vacuum-pack a portion of your catch of the day at no additional cost. We also recommend excellent hotels in Panama City ($50-180 per night) if you'd like to extend your stay.
